Academic Internships and Research Opportunities
All students are encouraged to engage in academic internships and research opportunities. Many majors offer academic credit for these experiences. Students should refer to their major department or the Career Center for more information!
Events and Observances
Our center coordinates events for military-affiliated students throughout the year and around certain observances. Events are currently advertised through our MAVRC email listserv. If you would like an invitation to be added to the group, please email: kanglopezy@sonoma.edu.
Student Veteran Organization
The Student Veterans Club (SVC) is a Student Veterans of America chapter. It is currently dormant. If you're interested in getting this club running again, please contact Mo Phillips, Director of Student Involvement, at phillipm@sonoma.edu. VA Work Study
Students using VA Educational Benefits (Chapter Benefits) can apply to work in the Military and Veterans Resource Center as a student assistant through a program funded by the VA. If hired, the position will be directly related to supporting veterans, reservists, dependents, and active-duty students.
